We have organized for the purpose of applying for grants, soliciting and managing funds, and organizing special projects for the restoration and preservation of the State and Nationally recognized Green Brother Mills located at the Falls of Rough, Kentucky. This includes reconstructing the foundation, the grist mill, and restoring the equipment from that mill. Then we can move forward to future plans for the restoration of the wool carding mill, new construction of public facilities, and future maintenance of the buildings. We would like to see the mills open to the public for tours including school groups as well as published brochures and other educational materials to preserve the history of this site for generations to come.
