Donations, Turbine Room Damage, and Upcoming Events

It’s been a while since I have checked in with everyone, and thought we should take a moment to keep everyone informed on the project. We would first like to say that we have our donation page up on our website. This is a listing of the First Security banks set up in various areas to accept donations and the address where checks can be sent. We pray if you are able to help with the cost of the reconstruction of the Green Bros. Mill in any way, that you will do so. We will send a receipt for any donations of $25.00 or more, and any donation is appreciated. If you are making a deposit through First Security Bank please tell them you want to make a donation to the Falls of Rough Old Mill Preservation donations account. Writing checks can be made to FOROMP donation, as it’s quite much to write out in its entirety!

We have a lot going on the next few weeks. This weekend will be spent with KOMA as we gather for fellowship and discussion of future on future plans. I’m sure they will have a lot to talk about as the SPOOM Conference had just passed and it was one I really would have liked to attend, but had other things that needed attention. We had done a brief evaluation of damage done to the turbine room that sets over the water there was some damage that will have to be repaired before any work can be started on the Mill reconstruction. We will be getting some more photos put into our gallery soon. This will give everyone an idea of what kind of issues we are going to be dealing with in the future, as so many plans have changed.

We would also like to make everyone aware of an event at Rough River Dam State Resort Park Lodge, All Wrapped Up Gift and Craft Show. This event will be in the main lobby of the lodge on November the 5th and 6th we will be there on those days and look forward to seeing you there. We are excited about being a part of this event and hope you will find time to make it out for a while.

We hope you have a great and blessed day, and thank everyone for following us and ask you to share our site and Facebook page with your friends and family. It’s your support that matters so much to us and we want to hear from you, so give us a little feedback now and then!
